A TRIP TO GUNUNG LEDANG

Over the weekend, a friend of mind took us for a day trip to Gunung Ledang in Muar, Johor. I do know about the existance of Gunung Ledang and also about the water fall in Gunung Ledang. That is why when he mentioned about we're gonna get soaked in the pool, it didn't really come as a surprise. If not, being the 'himbo' me, I would have already looked at him one kind and said "huh?"

We started of early about 11am after picking up another friend at Traders Hotel. Traders Hotel, a hotel which is recommended for it's famous sky bar, but I do not know where it was initially. Silly me.

After picking him up we then head on to Muar where we had (I must say) a very nice lunch which I do not know how to elaborate further. And then head on to the waterfall with a full stomach. Have you ever seen someone having beers while chilling by the pool? Well, I think I could pass as a kwai lou, or an alcoholic now. But thank god I'm not yet a drunkard. I shall reserve the drunkard title to Tomato. I think she fits better to it. Just swaying a bit for a little announcement, Tomato is on an alcohol fast. So each time she hangs out with me, you can see her oogling eyes filled with drools on her sad face cursing at me enjoying my drink. Hahahahah It is so enjoyable to see her reacting in this manner.

We soaked ourselves in the pool and having experiences of slipping on several occassion. There's one particular proposal is that we have maintenance over the waterfall by having the rocks scrubed. But then again, it's mother nature that we're talking about here. Polution free!! It's kinda dangerous actually. I sliped especially with my centre gravity which is not as low as people who are shorter than me. But, I still came back home alive. The most frightening thing is that I only realised that it was the first day of the Hungry Ghost Month as we were heading home.

After the waterfall, we head for Muar town to have dinner. There is a street which is filled with hawkers and one thing is for sure, Muareans really can cook. The otak-otak is good. The Oh Jean (Fried oyster) is good although could not beat those in Penang and the best part is, they actually have satay seeham (cockles). This is something new.

We headed back about 8pm and I was dead tired after that. No doubt this trip was memorable. I have not had such experience for a long long time.
