SENDING MY SISTER OFF TO GERMANY

Today's a Sunday. The day's so slow. Just can't wait to get back to office tomorrow. At least there's something I could do. As I was browsing through my camera, I've just realised that there are some pictures which I have not downloaded to my computer. And herewith is the picture of my sister leaving for Germany on the 29 September 2007. Am pretty sure my mom and dad is missing her until she comes back....

SECRET: ALL ABOUT MYSELF

You Are An ENFP

The Inspirer

You love being around people, and you are deeply committed to your friends.
You are also unconventional, irreverent, and unimpressed by authority and rules.
Incredibly perceptive, you can usually sense if someone has hidden motives.
You use lots of colorful language and expressions. You're quite the storyteller!

In love, you are quite the charmer. And you are definitely willing to risk your heart.
You often don't follow through with your flirting or professed feelings. And you do break a lot of hearts.

At work, you are driven but not a workaholic. You just always seem to enjoy what you do.
You would make an excellent entrepreneur, politician, or journalist.

How you see yourself: compassionate, unselfish, and understanding

When other people don't get you, they see you as: gushy, emotional, and unfocused

PEACE OF MIND

In the recent months, my emotions has been on a roller coaster ride. Happy in a minute, sad and annoyed on the other. Trying to be with, to help and to care for someone but only causes further damage to myself.

I could possibly conclude that it's easy to be the person's friend, but it's pretty hard to care for one. Very very tough! Why should we avoid issues that really need to be resolved? Keeping mum will not help but further increasing the problem.

I would love to share my 2 cents worth of advise to that friend of mine. In life, we accept what has already happened and make changes to what has been accepted. Start managing your life and dare to face the most difficult situation. You will find your problems very very much lesser. Life is not a box and stop living in one. Learn to accept critics and think simple. You will be very much happier.

Here's a poetry that I would love to share with you.

Where veiling mists caress the pines,
and ivy round the oak entwines.
Where lofty trees, near touch the sky,
and in the streams, the trout do fly.
This is the place, where one may find,
that precious thing, called peace of mind.

Where one may walk without a care,
while songs of birds enchant the air.
Where there's no fear, hate or sorrow;
where one looks forward to tomorrow.
This is the place, where one may find,
that precious thing, called peace of mind.

Where waterfalls flow crystal clear;
where there's no need to shed a tear;
where people sing the whole day through,
under a sky that's always blue.
This is the place, where one may find,
that precious thing, called peace of mind.

Where all the nights are filled with love, and a silvery moon,
in the sky above shines through your window, sending light to make your room, a heavenly sight.
This is the place, where one may find,
that precious thing, called peace of mind

Where old man winter never goes;
where Satan's tempest never blows;
where rose-pink petals bless your way,
and beauteous flowers seem to say:
"this is the place, where one will find,
that precious thing, called peace of mind.

THE SEVEN NATURAL LAWS OF LOVE

1. Love is its own law. Let love be your guiding principle. When in doubt, listen to your heart. Don’t allow mental concepts, beliefs, or assumptions that are not based on love to dictate your behavior.

2. The law of source. You are the source of love. The love inside you is abundant and eternal. You don’t need to beg, control, or compromise in order to be loved.

3. The law of attraction. The more you focus on love and gratitude, the more you will be surrounded by love. If you complain, blame, and dwell on fear, you’ll attract others who are also resentful, angry, and fearful.

4. The law of unity. Love knows no borders and no boundaries. Love includes everyone and everything. Love takes no position, rising above separation. Find unity within by resolving the conflicts inside yourself and you won’t have to act them out with another.

5. The law of truth. Let telling the truth about who you are and what you are feeling and thinking be your foundation. Vulnerable self-disclosure allows for empathy and understanding. The more truth is shared the more love grows.

6. The law of consciousness. Love is a state of consciousness available only when you’re willing to relinquish your defenses. Protection is a barrier to love. Love cannot be given or taken but it can be shared. The vibration of love in you is often stimulated when you come into contact with one who carries it.

7. The law of forgiveness. It’s ok to make mistakes. Very few humans are able to love perfectly. Forgive yourself and others generously and you’ll always have a second chance. Focus more on giving than getting and you’ll have much less forgiving to do.

DREAM A LITTLE DREAM

Have you ever had nightmares? Have you ever had dreams that repeats itself more than once? How about having a dream which seems so real where you can’t even differentiate between a dream and a reality. How many times when you wake up feeling happy? And how many times being miserable? Does a dream affects your mood and emotions for the rest of the day?

What does all these dreams mean? Did we ever realize that most dreams that we have, delivers a message to us indirectly. Unfortunately, many times, we tend to forget what we dreamt about as we go about our daily routine. Sometimes, with recurring dreams, the message may be so important or powerful that it just will not go away. And this is where your emotions will be affected. The frequent repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention and confront the dream. The dream is trying desperately to tell you something. That is why you have bad dreams.

One does states that our dream sometimes has access to information that is not readily available to you when you are awake. Basically your dream mind is anticipating the reality to you. Your dreams may reveal your secret desires and subconscious feelings.

In remembering our dreams, we’ll have an increased knowledge about ourselves, bring about self awareness and self healing. Dreams are an extension of how we perceive ourselves. They can be a source of inspiration, wisdom and joy.

Apparently, learning to recall our own dreams may help us become a more assertive person. In remembering our dreams, we are expressing and confronting our feelings. Remembering our dreams can help us come to terms with the stressful aspects of our lives.

So the question is, are dreams our friend or our enemy now?

THIS IS HOW I WILL DIE

HOW DO ONE OPEN IT'S HEART AGAIN?

Everyone who has ever loved, has been hurt. Sadly, those who have never been hurt in a relationship, have probably never learned to love, and never allowed themselves to become vulnerable. Love by nature and definition is the giving of oneself to another. As hard as it is for us to face, true love is a gamble. That, my friend, is what makes it precious and golden. If we could wave a magic wand and suddenly cause love and loving to be made easy and risk free, it would be cheepened and very unfulfilling. With these thoughts in mind we can now proceed to scrutinize the answer to the question: "Once I have been hurt, how do I open my heart again?"

Pain! Pain closed it? Rejection, misunderstanding, unappreciation, mistrust, out and out abuse, and even death can shut your heart.
That may seem like such an obvious answer to the average person. The truth is, pain is manifest in different ways in different people. The reason I start here is because the ever present memory of this pain is going to be the greatest obstacle in the way of opening up again. But let's remember, pain is present for a reason. It is sending us a message about ourselves and showing us that something is amiss.

There was a person in my life once that I loved deeply. And the reason I loved her so intensley was because I had risked opening up to her completely. That gamble brought us close for a time, but I never quite opened up totally. That intensified her own insecurities and a need to control me. This caused pain deep inside me. A pain so intense that I withdrew from further control and rejection, and the relationship disintergrated. What closed my heart was ultimate rejection and loss of trust and intimacy. Far too many debilitating memories from my past were triggered and my own maladjusted patterns of dealing with pain caused me to turn on the one I thought was hurting me.

Look at your situation(s). Look at it honestly. What closed your heart? What were you and are you protecting yourself from?

One of the greatest dangers in life is that we repeat the exact same mistakes over and over again in our significant relationships. One of the most basic definitions of insanity is doing the same things again and again and expecting different results. It isn't enough to acknowledge what it was that closed your heart, you must then learn from that pain. It was Euripides the great philosopher who once said that "we pay a high price for being intelligent. Wisdom hurts."
I learned two things about myself from the heart closing experience I described above. Number one, I have a compelling need to open up and share myself with someone in an intimate manner. Nothing ever felt more complete. But, on the other hand, the second thing I learned was that I abhor feeling as though I am being manipulated and controlled. If I was to ever open my heart again I knew that it would have to be with someone who was secure in themselves to the point that they don't need to control me.

Again, look at your life. Take a good look at the heart closer and learn from it. Don't go right out and make the exact same mistake again. But instead...

Once you have determined what you need and don't need, as well as what you can offer and cannot offer, proceed with caution. There are a lot of people who have no clue about themselves. In order to have a significant person in their lives they will temporarily become what they think you need. But it won't last because they aren't being true to themselves.
If you have honestly answered the first two quesitons then you are ready and should be confident enough to move forward. But don't settle for second best or you will have the same results again. Take the time to get past the masks that we all wear for protection and learn more about yourself and other people. Many people will do one of two things. They will either go out and find someone just like the person who closed their hearts or they will go out and find someone who is the total opposite. Proceed with caution. Just open your heart with someone who is neither extreme.

If you have made it this far you are probably wondering, "Why should I open my heart up to someone? It will just mean more pain." To which I assert, "Yes, that is possible." Because of her thirst for life and understanding, one of my all time favorite persons is Helen Keller. Ms. Keller once said, "Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. The fearful are caught as often as the bold" (Let Us Have Faith, 1940).

Someone else once said, "It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all." That's it! That is what makes love so special. Love is special because it doesn't come easy and if it does, it won't stay with the same ease. Love is a decision, a commitment, and requires a strong determination. Please notice that I did not say that love is a feeling. Love provides many powerful feelings, but if what you have had in the past was based on a feeling then it was not love at all.

In spite of the pain that I have experienced in my life, I have golden treasures from the love that I have experienced. They are treasures that neither time nor any person can take from me. If you can look down inside yourself and see the joy and warmth that you shared at one time and know that it can be even better, even if you don't feel it now, you will start to open up your heart once again. Love is worth the risk. Just don't repeat the same mistakes. My mistake was in reacting to pain with distance, hatefulness, and even dishonesty. I've learned to deal with pain now with the truth-- regardless of the results.

Adversity and pain are part of everyone's life. How you deal with that pain is determined in your own heart. We are the ones who consciously determine which way we will go. To paraphrase Ella Wheeler Wilcox's poem, "The Winds of Fate:"

One ship sails east
One ship sails west
Regardless of how the winds blow.
It is the set of the sail
And not the gale
That determines the way we go.

You will begin to open your heart again when you understand your pain and when you have learned vital lessons from your pain. Your heart will open as you proceed with your eyes wide open. But most importantly, you will begin to open your heart again when you realize that love is a very precious commodity that is worth pursuing, cherishing, and taking a chance on.

I dedicate this page to someone I love most..... my mom!

REBOUND RELATIONSHIPS DATING ADVICE

What exactly is a rebound relationship or dating on the rebound? It’s an intense dating relationship that begins very soon after a long-term relationship goes south. As one experienced single person described it: “A rebound relationship is kinda like jumping from one moving train to another. There’s no time for thinking about what you are about to do. Rebound dating is both exciting and dangerous at the same time.” Now that sounds intense!

The fact is, rebound relationships get bad marks from most single women and men who have tried them. The reason is that instead of being that perfect medicine for mending a broken heart, most rebound relationships fail, and consequently cause more pain for both dating partners.

If you are in a rebound dating relationship now, or just thinking about entering one, consider the following dating advice tips in order to protect yourself:

Rebound Relationship Advice for Those Dating on the Rebound
Rebound Relationships Tip 1: Only Fools Rush In

Ending one relationship and rebounding immediately into the next one, is not healthy for you, or fair to the other person. The reason for this is that you need time to grieve and heal before truly being emotionally ready for a new person.

While it’s natural to feel vulnerable and needy immediately after a breakup or divorce, fight the temptation to rebound so quickly into a new dating situation. It may dull your pain, but slow your healing.

Instead, take this time to evaluate what went wrong in the previous relationship, and think about how you can improve yourself for the next.

Rebound Relationships Tip 2: Get Counsel and Accountability

Before taking the plunge into a rebound relationship, get wise counsel from people who know and love you, and who can keep you accountable to making sound judgements.

Unfortunately, people involved in rebound relationships often seek a “quick fix” for their pain and damaged self-esteem. This leaves the rebound dater open for sexual and emotional manipulation by unsavory types who actually prey on the broken hearted.

Another problem with dating on the rebound is that people who do this tend to seek out the same type of person in the previous relationship, which predictably ends with the same results. That’s why it’s important to have several people who can help keep you centered during your healing process.

Rebound Relationship Advice for the Person Dating the Rebounder
Know the Odds

If you’re looking for a long-term commitment, dating in a rebound relationship is definitely not the thing to do. Do not enter a dating relationship with someone you know who:

- Has been out of their previous relationship less than a year

- Has shown by their words and behavior that they are not over their previous relationship

If you are dating a rebounder as decribed above, the chances are great that you a just a “transitory” person. Once the rebounder in the rebound relationship emotionally heals, they usually end up leaving the other person.

Don’t Let your Guard Down

This is usually not good advice, especially if you are attempting to build an emotionally intimate friendship. However, for your own protection, take it very slow with the rebounder, honestly explaining to him or her that you do not want to be a rebound relationship statistic.

This will take lots of self-control because rebound daters are very needy people who will attempt to fill the void, and blunt the pain in their lives by getting real close, real soon. Don’t take the bait, and save yourself much pain.

If you are a single person, feel free to share your experiences with rebound relationships.

TOPICS NOT FOR DISCUSSIONS (FIRST DATE RULES)

I read this from an article and found it very true. My dear pals, please have a read on this. It may help you date better.

You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Therefore, what happens on a first date can set the course of your future. If you want to ensure that your first date is a hit and leads to a second, then you may want to curb your topic of conversation and stay away from some issues that are sure to stir up the waters of debate. Controversy is not a great subject for first date dinner discussions (unless both parties are members of a debate team) but even then, it would be better to stick with general and more pleasant dialogue. Here are some issues that should be avoided at all cost when on a first date.

Religious and political topics are great for ending a relationship before it ever has a chance to begin. If you are strongly religious, then you may want to narrow your dating choices to people of like faith. Trying to convert your date on the first encounter never leads to a positive outcome. Debating the differences between Muslims, Christians, and Jews are not generally recommended topic starters. If you have strong core religious or political beliefs, it is best to choose to date others with similar values. This is the best way to prevent any areas of conflict and prevent a disastrous evening experienced by both parties.

Let me say, this in no way means that people of different faiths or political convictions cannot be involved in a relationship together. If you are open minded and feel that you can enter into a dating relationship with someone of a different belief system, then obviously this advice isn’t for you. However, if you feel that you can only be in a relationship with someone who shares the same core values that you do, it is advisable to date people who already have similar values rather than try to “change” someone.

Talking about past relationships is a definite turn off. Your date should feel as if he or she is the most important person in the room, not the mysterious ex who broke your heart. If you feel compelled to talk about your ex on your date, it may be a sign that you are not ready for a new relationship. In fact, your date may recognize this and decline to go out with you a second time. Your date should be postive and avoid all talk of ex’s, divorces, or failed relationships.

Though it may seem easy to talk about current events or the news, these topics tend to bring the conversation to a negative place. There isn’t much positive in the news these days and your goal is to keep the conversation friendly and on a cheerful tone. Try discussing less heated topics, such as the restaurant you are dining at, the food they serve, places you like to go for entertainment, your family, what you are studying, or even your job. Remember to ask questions about your date and don’t just talk about yourself. By keeping the topic positive and upbeat, you can ensure that you will receive that second date.

LET'S LOVE ONE ANOTHER

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat...We must find each other.

SLIPPERY SENORITA!

Something ticklish happened to me. I so wanna share it with you guys. I called up a gym to ask about their current promotion that they have. To my utmost surprise, the same sales consultant spoke to one of my colleague just hours before. So I went up to that colleague and asked her "eh... err... I hear you osso wanna join gym ar?" She asked me "har... how you know ar? That fella is so longwinded, all I need to know is, HOW MUCH IT COST!" Well... I agreed on it as well and informed her why not let the 2 of us gang up and secure a good deal.

Being as kiasu as we are, she suddenly came up to me towards the end of the day, and wrote a long list of names to me and said "Hey, here's the list of names. This and that is already a member, that and this would be a potential customer list. Let's corner them for a corporate package" Then i went, "WoW u r really fast! Am pretty surprised! hahahah... bud den hor.. your list is too short, let me gather more.." and straight away I went up to my superior and said "Sir, your body is getting out of shape. I think you need to start working out too" and then my colleague then said "I think so too". We burst out laughing as that superior of mine does not have an ounce of fat.

The whole situation was so farnee.. .Anyhow, am gonna work for a good corporate package. WE WANT LESS THAN RM 100!!!

I admit.. I admit. I am Si Pek Kia Su and Kiam Siap! Can't help it one hokay!! It's money we're talking about here...heheheheh

Hence, if the deal goes thru and everyone signs up, one day, the people will then come to us not to buy tires but to find talents! We're kinda good looking one ... just wanna make ourselves hotter!

PS: I'm gonna be killed tomorrow for posting this! Bochap lah....

UNCONTROLLABLE STATE OF MIND

I want to know true peace of mind, but how do I step out of my frantic world long enough to realize it? Can you give me some practical suggestions for staying in the present moment and observing myself?

I've been in a complete tumultous state of mind these past weeks. I've been thinking about my current condition, my way of conduct, my feelings, based on past thoughts, the decisions taken based either for good or for bad, the meaning of my glorious and deprived days.

My level of acceptance of behaviour I thought belittling has changed over the years. I've seen that maybe this is the way the society also conducted themselves, but I was too ignorant to take notice as I had grandiose delusions about their existence.

I need to have a good thought on things. Peace of mind is definitely required.....

A SMILE

Tip toeing in your bedroom,
without making a peep,
Gazing down, I see you there,
lying fast asleep.

I'm taking pen to paper,
and leaving you a note,
going slow, so you can read,
just what it was I wrote.

Could you see what I was thinking,
when you gazed into my eyes?
Or did I give myself away,
with the tempo of my sighs?

There will be moments,
when chaos and confusion engulfs me
When deadlines and deals loom large,
when I forget who I am and what is real

When I forget what is truly important,
then clarity strikes
And when I remember that there is you
then I will stop and smile...

And the smile, is meant for you.

THE MOMENT YOU BELIEVE

Time to face what you are hiding from,
Don't have to do this on your own,
You know that being together we can be very strong,
And we don't really need anyone,
No matter what people say,
Together we can fight,
Show everyone we're right,
I don't care what they say,
Our time has come.

I'm ready now,
To start a new beginning.
With all our hopes and all our dreams,
And I know the stars will shine for you,
And for me,
From the moment you believe

When you believe there's nothing you can't overcome,
When you believe the earth is brighter than the sun,
I believe.

All our dreams can come true- if we have the courage to pursue them.

It might be hard.. the road might be so long and you might lose
your energy sometimes and get it back after awhile .. Yet it is
possible to make them true.. BELIEVE is all what you need to do.

And it's definite that I believe in you...

WHAT IS LIFE ALL ABOUT?

Everyone's life is a picture,
Painted by only one person,
Life itself.

The picture shows everything you're doing,
And everything you have done.
But sometimes, Life gets tired.
And doesn't want to paint a picture.
So, Life sends problems to stop you.
If you give up, your picture is finished.
If you keep going, so does your picture.

So the question is:
How soon do you want to see your picture?
Do you want to see it now?
When it could be so much more?
Or later, when there's so much more than before?
It's your choice,
I'll keep going.
Will you do so too?

A TRIP TO GUNUNG LEDANG

Over the weekend, a friend of mind took us for a day trip to Gunung Ledang in Muar, Johor. I do know about the existance of Gunung Ledang and also about the water fall in Gunung Ledang. That is why when he mentioned about we're gonna get soaked in the pool, it didn't really come as a surprise. If not, being the 'himbo' me, I would have already looked at him one kind and said "huh?"

We started of early about 11am after picking up another friend at Traders Hotel. Traders Hotel, a hotel which is recommended for it's famous sky bar, but I do not know where it was initially. Silly me.

After picking him up we then head on to Muar where we had (I must say) a very nice lunch which I do not know how to elaborate further. And then head on to the waterfall with a full stomach. Have you ever seen someone having beers while chilling by the pool? Well, I think I could pass as a kwai lou, or an alcoholic now. But thank god I'm not yet a drunkard. I shall reserve the drunkard title to Tomato. I think she fits better to it. Just swaying a bit for a little announcement, Tomato is on an alcohol fast. So each time she hangs out with me, you can see her oogling eyes filled with drools on her sad face cursing at me enjoying my drink. Hahahahah It is so enjoyable to see her reacting in this manner.

We soaked ourselves in the pool and having experiences of slipping on several occassion. There's one particular proposal is that we have maintenance over the waterfall by having the rocks scrubed. But then again, it's mother nature that we're talking about here. Polution free!! It's kinda dangerous actually. I sliped especially with my centre gravity which is not as low as people who are shorter than me. But, I still came back home alive. The most frightening thing is that I only realised that it was the first day of the Hungry Ghost Month as we were heading home.

After the waterfall, we head for Muar town to have dinner. There is a street which is filled with hawkers and one thing is for sure, Muareans really can cook. The otak-otak is good. The Oh Jean (Fried oyster) is good although could not beat those in Penang and the best part is, they actually have satay seeham (cockles). This is something new.

We headed back about 8pm and I was dead tired after that. No doubt this trip was memorable. I have not had such experience for a long long time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

As time slips past
And years come and go
In times of happiness
Or times of sorrow

Through thick and thin
You have stood by our side
Were there to encourage us
And held us when we cried

We were given unconditional love
And now we finally see
Even though we made bad mistakes
You unfailingly forgiving us, you see

It is important that you understand
You are not just our mother
You are a very special lady
A friend like no other

So here is a birthday wish
And we hope your dreams come true
And we want you to know we are thankful
Because we get our best qualities from you!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

THE SMART TUNNEL

I took a ride home via the newly completed Smart Tunnel linking Sg Besi Road and Jalan Tun Razak by passing most of the traffic jam along the road above. The ride I would say, so-so and not really impressed. I could say the completion was kind of a rush job actually. Though it was a trial period, the ride wasn't smooth, the road was bumpy and what more, I felt as if I was trapped in a box while driving thru the tunnel. Even then, there wasn't any phone reception at all down there. It kept me wondering how should I cry for help if I were to be trapped inside.

There is only 2 lane and it leads to either Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Tun Razak. As soon as I arrived at the exit for Jalan Tun Razak, I kinda find myself getting stucked in the usual traffic jam. Besides, the road leading to the exit was then mellowed down to 1 lane which automatically created a bottle neck and what more, when there is no room for tunnel expansion in near future. Hmmm... I am wondering what will the response be if the fee for the toll is bound to be high.

However, it is still a good attempt to ease the traffic woes and flood in the heart of KL.

Herewith are the pictures I managed to snap.

CHILLING OUT AT RONALDS

The recent days I have been very busy. Be it for my personal life, be it for my working life. I don't seem to get the rest which I longed for for a long long time....

I have been appointed to join as a member for our recreational club to organise events to further motivate our office members. It sounded easy but at the same time, it's kinda tough especially when your objective is to be innovative enough on not to compose some events which is predictable by people. Sometimes I wonder to myself on whether should I branch out to do a freelance event organising. I kinda like this kind of work actually as the events that I do, isn't boring and surprises people sometimes.

At Ronald's chill out day, we've started of as a family event where children can swim, adults can play badminton... and to me, that's kinda boring. LOL... so we, packed up with our surprises, gathered the people and throw in the fun. This time, we made them dress up their own boss. Yummy... it's revenge time! muahahahahahah...

We've dedicated icons for the teams to dress. They shall be dressed as Phua Chu Kang, Marilyn Monroe, Bibendum and Elvis Presley. And they will have to be dressed up using newspapers only. I really admire their work... We had a good time laughing and enjoying the 'in the making'. And of course, as usual, we had the Michelin way of taking pictures...

I was really tired after the event. I'd even have cramps throughout the nite. What more having to visit the poolside toilet every now and then to 'cebuk'. hahahaha

I have to thank my group mates as well. Without them, I don't think this event would be a success.... Cheers!

NATURE OF LIFE

I wrote this poetry a long long time ago and wishes to post it up here one day. I finally found a reason to do so today, after hearing so many recent unhappy facade that my friends and family are going through.

Here it goes...

The ocean is mighty,
dividing the sky and earth.
The tide may recede,
but your past remains the same.
Accept what you cannot change,
and change what you have accepted.

Standards set...
Are definitely by men,
Fighting each other,
Scrambling to reach the grandstand.

Man, oh man...
Why can you see and understand?

Depression will set in,
Depression will lift,
Happiness is but fleeting,
In the sinful world of suffering.

The pains and hurts,
That sears our lives,
And hidden behind,
The facade of apparent smiles.
We cannot help,
but to walk thru life's unending trials.
For man is within the bondage,
Of deception and wiles.

Life is full of misery,
Who can we blame?
There is nothing one can gain,
Except reducing the hurts and pains.

PAUL... THE OTHER COUSIN OF MINE FROM DOWN UNDER

Last week Paul gave me a surprise visit from Sydney.... er... not really a planned visit to surprise me actually. His actual visit is that he had to fly in to attend his grandfather's demise. I was prepared to stand by him in event he needs me. Yet, I was kinda excited to see him.

I took him in to stay with me which finally gave us the opportunity to catch up for the seven years of life that we have not been able to share and communicate. Usually it's via his mom or Daven. And you know what, I tend to find that we have a lot of things in common a.k.a. view points, insights, opinions, relationships, lifestyles, how he prefer one of my cat to the other one..he's just like me.... On the other hand, there are some view points that we totally share the opposite. But one thing is for sure, I definitely have better taste than him. MEEEEOOOWWWWWWW!!!!.....

I took him clubbing, pubs to chill, shopping at the Curve and Bintang Walk which with no doubt, we had hell of a good time. I have never enjoyed clubbing and shopping like this for a long long time. And what more, the shopping part! No matter how tired we were, we can't help cracking up! Lots of laughter, and silly jokes we cracked on each other. I will always remember the day that we had our drinks by the pool in Westin. We practically had a world of our own and shared the deepest secrets ever. I had a good time and hope he had one too. He gave me a remark that made me chuckle "You've changed, cuz!". I can't help it but it keeps repeating at the back of my mind.

He'll be back again in September with Steve this time or maybe in August for work. I really looked forward for his arrival. I hope to get Daven up to KL as well during that period before I fly off for my holiday in September. This is where the 5 of us will then party all night long. Daven, you better buckle up and head on to the clubs with us. I don't wanna hear you whining!

On the last day of his visit in Malaysia, we realised that we have not actually taken any pictures together. But... we did manage to snap some photos very candidly actually... I shan't share the details of it here...

Sent him off to the airport this morning and I believe, by now, he has already landed safe and sound.

...Have a good time in Perth Cuz. Love ya!

EMPIRE SOHO - SUBANG

In less that a year upon purchasing Puncak Damansara, I placed another unit in Subang. It's called the Empire Subang. At the centre of it, is the Empire Gallery, a 3-storey shopping centre, set to grab the limelight from neighbouring Subang Parade.

Above the Empire Gallery is a tower of SOHO units (where one of the unit is mine. the SOHO suites where one can live and work at the same place), and at each flank are two other towers, one is a soon-to-be launched office block, and another is a hotel Empire Suites where investors are invited to buy ‘units’ (actually the hotel suites), and rent it back to management for a Guaranteed Rental Return of 8%. But I don't think I will be getting that one though.

I am going to have a good time getting my loan approved, and what more, to figure out the way to get my additional installment paid. Hmmm... I think am going to appoint a property agent to do so. LOL... in the mean time, enjoy the pictures.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANDY HOR - 31ST MARCH 2007

There was a guy,
He was our mate,
our colleague,
and our friend.

On the 29th March 2007,
he was on his way home from work,
He went home on the Kluang highway,
it's filled with bends and covered with dirt.
The next day when we came to work,
We were told the horrible news,
"Andy's been in an accident",
it wasn't a scrape or bruise.

It was something much more serious,
We knew he was going to die,
We couldn't take it in,
all we could do was cry.
The next day we went to the hospital,
to see him one last time,
I couldn't bear the sight of him,
all I could do was endless praying at the back of my mind.
I had to leave on the very night,
feeling restless until a moment ago,
I received a message on my phone,
telling me that he had to go.
Andy was killed by a car accident,
Oceans on oceans have swallowed him whole,
Remembering him, whom can I thank,
As I dance through my life with his undying soul.
May you rest in peace Andy....
will be remembered always.. uncle leavide
